Persian Rug Knots
Most of handmade rugs, is nothing less than the tens or hundreds of thousands of nodes of yarn tied to the master thread basis. There are several ways of knitting nodules, the most common so-called Persian and Turkish.
Wrong to believe that they only apply to Persia and Turkey : Persian rugs hatching sites are in many countries, and Turkish used in Iran, but not everywhere. Of the less common units are economical Persian knot unit and the so-called Tibetan knot.
Persian knot (other names-senna, Senneh, "asymmetrical" node), in addition to Iran, is used in India, Turkey, China and Egypt. Thickening is based around a thread basis, then under the nearby thread and goes to the surface.
Turkish node (otherwise known as "push-pull", or Gerd) indeed, unlike Persian, is a symmetric (see illustration). When initiating the site yarn snake with different parties two adjacent threads and foundations trip yarn rose to the surface in the carpet near. Rugs are made with this knot in Turkey, the Caucasus, Iran, in some areas (for example, in Tabriz). It is believed that the use of the knot in Iran, the legacy of Abbey, under whose authority Persia was in 11-12 centuries. The knot also degrade tribal carpets some Kurdish and Turkish peoples.
Tibet node configuration reminds Persian, but is conducted in a very special way. With each lap of nodes placed an ad hoc basis across the pipe thickness that defines the length of future cloth. Thread yarn snake thread basis, then is put on with neighboring and then transferred via pipe and the operation is repeated. After a number of concerns, bar removed. Then the result is a loop chop.
