Nain Rugs and carpets
Model designs of classic Persian rugs and carpets from the city of Nain, located in the province of Isfahan on the edge of a salt desert. A combination of shades and colors blue ivory was this "brand" of the masters. Meanwhile Nain, which is near the long famous with their carpets Isfahan, is not the ancient center of rugs : many manufactories producing handmade carpets appeared here in the first half of the 20th century. But by the standards in a short period of the history of the carpet has become one of the most famous centers of rugs production.
What Nain famous for long time, it is their tailor, rugged traditional Iranian clothes. After the First World War, the industry has collapsed: the Iranians increasingly entered the fashion western costume. With experience in dealing with high-quality wool, artisans began to weave carpets in Nain. The Persia government has helped the city: here were carried weavers from Isfahan and established new manufactories. Already in the 50-ies of the last century Nain won glory of a remarkable carpet centers.
It was in the mid 20 century that masters of Nain created famous cold blue-white and blue-beige carpet of their range (as a whole design of their carpets and rugs heir isfahany ornaments). Typically, nainy weaving of wool (a version of wool with silk) on the basis of cotton. Most silk is used for border patterns and better "drawing" arabesques.
The best rugs from Nain considered those manufactured by Habibian than exclusively designed, they differ very high density (from 900,000 knots per square meter). Often these rugs and carpets are made of pure silk. Carpets of Nain Habibian produced in small numbers, just a few hundred pieces a year.
