About Persian Rugs
The sweeping beauty and the excellent quality of Persian rugs is known worldwide. This is not surprising : there is no country in history, culture and daily life of creating rugs which is the same vital role, as in Iran. The furniture in the Iranian homes, usually slightly, and the main part of the home "environment" are their rugs. There is even a simple phrase : "The Iranians cast their wealth on the floor." You can not truthfully say that the Iranians were born on the rugs, they live on them, and raise their children on them. It doesn't matter if a person lives in rich or poor homes, the home is bound to a rug - one high and one old and shabby, but no less loved by the owners.
Now Iran is the world's largest manufacturer of Persian rugs and carpets. Many major "handmade world rug manufacturers" try to take the glory, but unsuccessfully challenged the Persians. These countries are in Asia, especially India, Pakistan, Nepal and China. But Persian rugs and carpets are still the benchmark and trademark of the eastern rugs.
Quality rugs - consumer and art - have many components. These are material cloth, and carefully weave, composition, drawing, and colors. Wrists, thread basis, the province carpet treatment and its density is also of paramount importance. Only Iranian masters support at the highest level, all without exception of characteristics of their carpets. That is why the rug experts in the world are synonymous with the concept of "Eastern rugs" and replace it with "Persian rugs" - despite increased competition from other countries.
Rugs and carpets are an essential part of Iran's export revenues. But maintaining this source of revenue is not easy. Hand made rugs on traditional machines is growing pressure engine production : no secret that the rug machine that these ideas do not believe for carpets, it is not only in Belgium and Germany, but also in Iran itself. Young Iranians are rarely interested in acquiring an occupation masters of Persian rugs. Meanwhile, the global market is getting cheap with big production, but these are often simplistic and "soulless" copies of Persian rugs, woven in India, Pakistan and China on the Iranian model.
In these circumstances, even the near future of Persian rugs is unclear. No one doubts that this is a work of art, adorable and emphasizing the prestige owner. But there will be no Persian rugs available? Iranian authorities have attached great efforts to develop the production of rugs. Publications on the Iranian carpet industry, appeared optimistic forecast growth rug and carpet exports to Iran in 2020 to 17 billion dollars a year. However, according to the Iran News, in late 2003, the industry leader, hand crafts Iran Tahed Nejad acknowledged that the quality of Iranian rugs began to decline, reducing income for the country of this important industry. The official noted that the need to improve the quality of the rugs in the country even at the cost of reducing their production. And Western analysts had feared did not grow whether as a result of the cost of producing these handmade Persian rugs to the point where ideas can enjoy these works of art except in museums.
